I remember this day very well, as I was part of a public autograph session with The Rock in Highland Park, Illinois that afternoon. After the event I took The Rock to dinner in Highwood, Illinois and then to the house show that evening at The Rosemont Horizon (now Allstate Arena). We got to the show early and spent some time backstage talking to various wrestlers. When the show was ready to start, we went to our seats without entering though the normal doors, since we were backstage so our tickets didn’t get ripped.
We came out late so we missed the first match, but we did see the second match, which was Owen Hart and Jeff Jarrett, escorted by Debra McMichael defeat the young team of Edge and Christian. What was odd as after this match my buddy and I decided we were bored after spending time with the wrestlers backstage, so this was the only match we watched that night.
As everyone knows, the following night was the tragic events in Kansas City that ended Owen Hart’s life. This Rock autographed full ticket stub is from the night of Owen Hart’s last match ever.
